The First Battle in the Ongoing Struggle

 Raiders came to Vedma’s World. There was time to gather the Free Militia. Their approach was slow and their target was obvious. They wanted Dr. Croft. 

Her research into alternatives to HPG space transmissions could empower small worlds to escape the boundaries placed in front of them by the vastness of interstellar distances. Others learned of her research and she fled to the Periphery. 

She thought Vedma’s World was far enough, but it wasn’t. Now war had come to the world again. 

The militia arrays against the raiders. 

Power Armored Marshals rally to the cause. 

 Speed is of the essence! 

PA magnetizes to the Hermit Crab. Raider PA air drops onto Croft’s position. 

The Crab blows up an incoming Raider Technical. 

The Raider PA secures their prize! Dr. Croft is captured. 

Hot pursuit! 

Second Technical drops off its deadly cargo. 

Desperate gambit to back-shoot the HunchBack IIC! 

 Combined fire brings the HBK IIC down, but the Komodo strikes back!

Ace fire from the brave Locust pilot. 

With Dr. Croft seemingly slipping away in the hands of the enemy, a terrible decision is made to blow up her kidnappers (and her). 

Surveying the wreckage, Wolverine pilot Georgie Kukurov agonizes, and the Komodo makes good his escape!
