 Meet Some Of Our Cast

Stieg Miner. If this tale has a hero, Stieg is it. A MechWarrior fleeing from the defeat and dissolution while in service to the Hanseatic League. During the battle for Holdout in 3112, his unit was crushed at the hands of the Escorpion Imperio defense forces. Miner’s 55 ton SHD-2Hb Shadow Hawk was shot out from under him and he ejected. Disgraced and dispossessed, he fled the planet disguised as a civilian refugee. 

After two hard years of running and mercenary work as a ground pounder, he washed up on Vedma’s World. He arrived in late 3114, and found himself in the little frontier town of Cluster. His knack for mechanical repair led him to the service of the town’s only Tech, Ayla Wright. She had possession of the town’s only ‘Mech, a beat-up HMC-14 Hermit Crab. It was in such disrepair that it was being used as just a power plant for the workshop and nearby buildings. Stieg’s knowledge of ‘Mechs and general good will eventually won Wright’s trust. The pair got the Hermit Crab back to working order.
